Re: Wild C10 project

Looks good. Waiting to see how you guys match up the hood to the fender and the cowl area.

Ya'll have done a TON of work in a short time.

BTW, next time on a frame like that, try using oven cleaner first then power wash. Don't use the fume free stuff. The Easy Off oven cleaner in the yellow can works best, but the dollar store version works good too. It will remove grease and grime and the paint underneath...

Re: Wild C10 project

OK guys as u can see we have run into a little snag on the wheel tire size! Lol I guess when ur tires r 36 ish tall it takes a little room. But the question is looking at the pics do u think we need to bodydrop or not? We r doing the chop still. But anyways what do u all think?

Re: Wild C10 project

Awesome Build! Very cool idea as well. That much metal work takes some dedication. I subscribed to this build.

Re: Wild C10 project

Have you seen this truck?
http://www.truckinweb.com/features/1...967_chevy_c10/

Same idea, just different execution I think. They named the truck "the Show". It was in a Truckin back in 2010.

I am not trying to discourage you as you said you haven't seen this done. I just thought it might give you some ideas/encouragement that it can be done. Either way. Your truck will be very unique and judging by the work done so far, very well built! Have fun!

Re: Wild C10 project

Yes I have seen it, nice truck but not the same process. They just removed the roof off a 88-98 truck and put on the 67' cab. We are completely re-skinning an 01'. My truck is really no longer a 67' at all, will actually be registered as an 01'. More like a tribute truck I guess. I've seen corvettes done this way and even a Charger, just not a truck.
