polish or wax

i just got my truck and im looking at the paint and its seems like its starting to fade in some areas but not all. im not sure how to go about this.. if i need to polish then wax or if i need to polish at all. ive been reading some other threads on here but just want to make sure.

How old is the paint? Do you have some closeup pics of it?

Heres a picture of my GMC after I color sanded and buffed it .. the paint was super dead and orange peeled. It came out pretty nice

i mean ther paint isnt very old but it was just sitting out in the sun .. fading some before i bought it. some spots are shiny and some are dull..

Polish and glaze to bring back a shine. The surface is drying out. When it is deep, wet and glossy smooth to the touch, Wizard sealant (apply like wax) will hold out the shine for months, rather than weeks.

Polish is for looks, wax is for protection. Polish then wax.
