Re: Show your gas tank swaps!!!

How do you guys plan on filling these tanks?
I see some fill through the bed and others run a custom filler neck.
How about some finished products?
I like all of these ideas just curious about filling.

For capacity find length x width x height / 231 = gallons.

Blazer tank. Don't use the plastic, get the metal one if you go this route.

Re: Show your gas tank swaps!!!

Here is one I just finished a few days ago. Using a Marine type filler . Screws flush in the neck and is fairly flat in the bed . There is a mark to help identify the location.

Here was my first mock up of a poly tank.. I decidednot to go this route since you have to trim cross sills for it to fit...

Hind site is 20/20... My kit came with only 2 J hooks and no instructions. I bolted one side of the straps to the frame and with the straps stretched the other side would not reach the J straps. So, I noticed the tank was notched for the straps to work in either direction, I decided to cut the straps shorter to work the way it's in my pics. Had I had a little better "sense" at the time, I would have went out and bought 2 more J hooks, then it would have fit better. Ooops.

It hangs about as low as the license plate bracket. I was knelt down on the ground for this pic:
