Re: Came across this...

These don't come along very often in good shape and with complete history.
If you decide not to buy it send me a PM because I probably will.

You are right, not offen do you get to talk to an original owner either. I would love to have it if it works out.

I hope the roof of the camper isn't damaged, or leaking, if so the camper may not be worth keeping....all depends on ones skills and determination!!!

I too, hope this gets saved!!!

Re: Came across this...

I'd leave the camper shell there, pull the utility bed and put a matching dually bed on it. It'd be fantastic!

Im also worried that the roof might be leaking but everything is fixable with enough work. I really just want the truck and bed.

I too, hope this gets saved!!!

The bed is so heavy duty I couldn't see taking it off.

Re: Came across this...

Estimated weight is 9,000
And another thing that is funny was this truck was originally 514 red... so they painted the door jams and everything.

Re: Came across this...

Well I got a call Thursday from the owners niece. She said that she had got the note that I had left on the truck a while ago and that they were looking to sell and she said she would be there Saturday... so this morning I went and got to meet all the family and bought the truck!! Very thankful she called.
They are clearing out everything and going to be selling most of it.

Re: Came across this...

Nice! Glad it worked out.

My c30 put around 4,500 on the scale without any bed, so I’d guess around 7k with the utility bed and camper.

Me too! The empty weight with just the bed is 5,900lbs, with the camper over 8,000lbs the tow truck bed was swaying back and forth just going 30mph!

Lots of ideas for the truck, first will be getting the hood open and checking out the engine. Sadly it doesn't look like the camper will be salvageable, years of water leakage has rotted out the wood and it would need everything replaced so going to remove it and probably tear it apart and send it off to the dump if no one wants it.
Need to decide on some wheels/tires and start going through it.

Thanks! I honestly want to leave it as close to originals possible and get it driving. First old truck I've had with a utility bed and super excited to start working on it. I have already found so much inside lots of pictures coming soon
