72 blazer ls swap question!

I’m sure it’s been asked! Which Ls 6.2 donor engine would work best for my k5? The camaro or the suv and why thanks.

Re: 72 blazer ls swap question!

camaro will be more hp..other than that theres no difference in how the engine bolts in...oil pan, manifolds and accessories will be different
what yr engines are you looking at? what are your transmission/transfer case plans?

I’m wanting to keep the sm465 with np205 combo. I’m wondering mostly on the accessories! Which will fit better. I have not found an engine yet. Thanks

Re: 72 blazer ls swap question!

I used truck/suv engines, (LQ9 and LM7),on mine and all accessories clear except the ac comp..
the LS3 I have is more compact looking, but its still sitting in the shop floor on a pallet, so I don't know for sure what will hit or miss...
I would look for suv/truck...the Camaro 6.2 bring big $$...but all 6.2s are high..
any reason for specifically wanting a 6.2?...my lq9 makes 345hp...more than plenty for my truck...and about 1/5 the cost of the 6.2 I bought..even though the 6.2 is 450ish hp
engines
