I bought a '64 Bonneville ragtop when I came home from Taiwan in July of '69. It was bought new (special order) from the Bobcat GTO dealer in Michigan. I was in Arkansas. The Poncho didn't have A/C. Didn't matter to me.

Then I drove it to Tucson. Yeah, it was a dry heat, but it was still hot!!!! I looked at a new VW in late '70 and was told that I would have to pay a wrecking yard to take the car without an A/C unit. Geeze, whodathunk that?

Top down....who needs an air condtioner? Black leather/Honduras Maroon paint.....did I mention it was hot in Tucson??
