2019 Goals and Plans

Hey guys,
Only 81 days even here in Maine until the local racetrack opens up. What are everyone's goals and plans for this season?

Mine: Passing tech and making one pass down the track before the end of the season. Hah!

I'd say those are solid goals! I see the time in your signature is 10.18 - have you run faster than 10's at all yet? Sounds like you might have put some fun stuff in this off season if you're jumping 10's to 8's

Re: 2019 Goals and Plans

Getting it out of the garage is the main aim.

Crash repairs are time consuming. Planned upgrades won't help.

Only tech’d for 10.00 previous so only ran enough tune for low 10’s, and yes have big changes happening. Cutting out mild steel roll bar and a CM 8.50 cage is going in, have a Reid case TH400 being built, and right now as we speak a fresh all aluminum 615 BBC with 20* heads is sitting on a dyno waiting for me to get a day off to go break it in and see what it will do. Expectations are at least 1200hp plus will still have my nitrous system for up to 200 shot on it for play.

Bummer on the crash repairs! I'm with you on the "Getting it out of the garage" part though. Upgrades are fun - and usually ease the pain of the crash!

Sounds like a pretty big year for you! Can't wait to see videos/hear how it turns out!

Re: 2019 Goals and Plans

1. finish my brake overhaul so my truck won't go in the kitty litter
2. pull together an NFL-level 5 way trade to finagle my way into a procharger for poverty level cash
3. only tech to 11.99 since I have like no safety gear at all.
4. run once, break out significantly, get kicked if the track cares.
5. Probably never show anyone my slips.

I'll probably make 3/5

Haha, Hoping these will be similar to my plans in a year or two (build a new engine, put a medium sized single turbo on it, probably break out unexpectedly at the local track and have to not race until I get a bar and harness.)

Yellow truck is fresh and tested we start the season Feb 23/24 . Dragster has new belts and cert . Already made my passes and handed them to Div4 . Finish 5.80/big tire truck and run some 5.80 stuff . 4 guaranteed $4k to win races this year and a lot more in between.

Re: 2019 Goals and Plans

1. Fix the rear main leak and add a manual choke to the 1bbl on the 77, take it to Lapeer Dragway and make 1 day of 22 second passes. Then sell it.
2. Finish assembling the 250 on the stand.
3. Pull the 2 ton outta the field, convert the frame to a frame jig, and build the cab into a gasser.

Re: 2019 Goals and Plans

- help brother finish his badass 67 ls swap/full resto/drag race/road race project
- get duramax tuning fixed and click off a half second to get me into the 11s
- find a donor ls truck for my 77 drag truck project
- complete a full frame off resto on an all original 57 chevy pickup

hoping to have atleast 1 on the list done by 2020
