Will this fit?

My '72 Project GMC has a '79 350 and will be pulling it soon to detail it etc.
Saw this on ebay and would like to install but description is for a flat tappet and not a roller cam application.

Re: Will this fit?

I can't see the eBay item (I'm at work right now) but your 79 is a gen 1 SBC so it should fit. I recommend going with a quality part like a Cloyes chain.

Re: Will this fit?

Google Cloyes C3023X Engine Timing Set

Amazon lists it for $27.78....and its Cloyes...

Pic on your ebay list shows single lower keyway gear....

Cloyes sets have a three key lower gear in case you want to advance or retard the cam...depending on usage etc....

Cant figure out where the other set is made...Cloyes is local US made as far as I know....

Hope this helps:

Re: Will this fit?

Yes it will fit - but completely agree with AussieinNC, Cloyes is probably the best basic double roller timing chain available, and they aren't necessarily more expensive.
