1972 Blazer ls swap

Here is a blazer i bought from Arizona! Pretty much rust free but the engine blew up and the previous owner removed it and sold me the blazer! This is the second one i have buildt and looking forward to this one! Going to do a frame off and install a 6.0 HO and a 4L60E trans. Here is the start!!!!

Yesd! Dave Hall with Restore a Muscle car in Lincoln Neb. Bought it and changed a few things and finished the interior! Adding pic's. Also starting the tear down on the blue one.

That turned out great. I wish that I would have caught you before you choose the color. Are those original seats or something else?

The interior came from TMI Products! This one will have a 6.0 HO w/ 4l60E and going to powder coat most everything with TMI interior and vintage air and 2-tone red and grey or Black and silver!! Yes i will probaly sell when finished not sure!!! They are getting harder to find!!!!

I just bought a 72 Jimmy on Nov 1st, so I am just beginning my journey with this style truck, but holy cow that orange one is awesome. That is a beautiful blazer. Looking forward to see this new one you have turns out.

I know this is not a for sale posting! but I do have some of the parts I am not going to be using when I put back together if anyone is interested? Let me know but I will be posting more pictures of the build in the next 2-3 weeks. Spare tire holder, original speaker and mount, cross member, all heating and cooling, console.

Someone could not get back bumper off so they cut the frame horns off(never understand)! So I found another blazer and got the horns off it and got them installed today!! Starting to make progress! Body comes off next .

Not much happening right now but going to remove body next week and start on frame and let body guy get started on painting after i have the body media blasted! Will update next week!

Thanks for updates. Any insight on media blasting? I am torn between all the methods or trying a DIY solution like wet sanding or soda.

Blazer is completely taken apart and ready to go to blasting but the temp here is cold for Arkansas(18-25) so it will go later this week but i did get the Dirty Dingo cross member and I had the transfer case gone thru and painted and Advanced adapter showed up today as well !!! hopefully pick up 6.0 and 4l60 this week to do mock up and the off to blast and body shop!!!

so it is truly a bolt in piece, my blazer is a dd so I need to make sure this is a efficient swap, also did you get any special wiring set up to connect the two?
