Re: 1st Radio Controlled Vehicle in Over 10 Years!

Slash arrived this morning at work. I'm charging the batteries now and after work I'm heading to the track. I've never raced before, it should be a blast.

Re: 1st Radio Controlled Vehicle in Over 10 Years!

yeah. i got out of the hobby cause i had no one to run with and i'm not into racing, just bashing. my favorite that i had before i got out of the hobby was my ofna lx-1. that thing was a friggen tank! all i broke on it while i had it was the front bumper, big whoop right, and the front shock tower because my brakes decided to not work. i dunno, i kinda wanna get back into it, but at the same time i don't. i'm straddling the fence right now on that

Re: 1st Radio Controlled Vehicle in Over 10 Years!

I've been bit hard by this bug. I've had nine trucks arrive or leave my house in the past 3 months. Currently in the stable is 2 2wd slashs with lcg chassis. 1 4x4 slash, 1 4x4 sc10 and 1 2wd sc10. Since my real truck was stolen earlier this year I've been drowning my sorrows in RC racing.

Re: 1st Radio Controlled Vehicle in Over 10 Years!

Man, sorry to hear about your stolen truck....that's never easy.

I've just picked up my second RC car, a Traxxas Bandit. Came with the exact same equipment my Stampede did, but this little buggy is so much faster. Both have some chassis upgrades already, and I'll get to working on electronics in the near future. Once I get the chassis dialed in better I'm going to start working on the 72 pickup body I have for the Stampede. I'll try to get some pictures up here of them soon.

Re: 1st Radio Controlled Vehicle in Over 10 Years!

When I got out of racing I had a full King Headz Kyosho 777 and a King Headz MSR 777 truggy..,it was pure chaos running 1/8th and truggy classes. Thankfully my buddy ran 1/10th so we could pit each other.

It was a blast while it lasted but when you have to travel for over 1.5 hours just to practice it became way too expensive. Now that my boys are getting bigger and a new track has opened up only 40 minutes away, I am looking into getting an electric for them and a 1/10th gas for me.

Re: 1st Radio Controlled Vehicle in Over 10 Years!

Me to im so stuck on the rc thing Im up to 13 now and my opinion 13 is bad luck so im in the market for another one or sell one wich wold be pretty hard to do. My favorite one are the hpi savage 4.6 and my brand new axial wraith wich is way cool. My savage has been by far the toughest truck ive ever seen.I also have rock crawlers that im working with. redcats super crawler is pretty awsome nickname no problem.
