73-87 guy needs help with a 88- question- photo ID
What do you guys call this light? Circled in blue.
I'm searching threads and I'm not sure what to call it. I'm going to install it in my 86 K30 and am just looking for ideas. Thanks for the help

Not sure what the real name of it is, but underhood work light maybe? I have one that I was gonna use, now current truck has one. But there are so many 88-ups out there, bound to find one.....

Never seen that before, only the light on the hood.

Heard them referred to as a "underhood reel light" or "retractable light" often. Both brought up a lot of info when google searched.
Also, the part number for the whole light package is 12341801. |

Later model squares had that option as well. You can see it back on the firewall.
