Transmission problem
I have a 82 gmc swb and haven't had a problem with it but recently I had it parked for 2 weeks and now it's having trouble getting in the garage. Even going over curbs it seems like it doesn't have enough power but in a lower gear I have no problem.

I believe it has a 350 transmission and yes I have checked the level but may have a leak somewhere ? I drove the truck 7 hours when I bought it no issues .

You can count the pan bolts and look at the shape of the pan to determine the transmission type.
After that you will have to look at the adjustments for tv cable, take off pan and check fluid and filter condition, Check for vacuum line leaks if TH350 with a modulator and take a line pressure test. These should help to determine if the transmission is damaged internally. |
