Question Plastic Kick Panels for Speakers

Has anyone bought these?. How do these attach to your existing metal ones and did you have any clearance problems with the emergency brake?. Thanks

I made some a couple of years ago but never used them. They're sitting in the garage catching dust right now. They cover part of the floor vent but don't have any interference with the ebrake. Also, I made them to fit a 6.5" speaker, which have a little more umph than 5" speakers. Also, I angled the pods toward the driver. I'll post a picture if I can make it to the garage in all this rain

I have the kick panel speaker holders, I was going to put them in the other day but my INFINITY speakers have too big of a magnet to fit. They stick out the back of the panels too far. And the way it looks if they would fit, it would hit the E-brake pedal.

Guess i need to go buy some different speakers.

How do these attach to the existing kick panels?

I put them in my 69. It is a tight fit for E-break and dimmer. You have to do some trimming for the vent handle. I glued and put screws at the corners. Here is a shot of the driver side.

They say you can just slide them in place and the door rubber will hold them in.

Contact WES at www.classicheartbeat.com or PAUL at GMCPAULS.COM

Without speakers they cost about $70.00 and they have two different sets of speakers one so-so and the other good quality for about $100.00 more.
