Awesome thread, love the truck and the work you did on it, looks beautiful. I am building a 59 as well.. I am in Edmonton and I would like to know where you got the paint to buy. It's a far way off from yours

but I want to start painting some of the inner pieces. I have a stepside box but wish I could find a fleetside.

I don't know what your budget is, but the fleetside box sides are being reproduced now.

I buy all of my paint supplies from Central Alberta Paints in Red Deer. They have solvent base products there as I'm sure many paint supply companies would have in your area as well. The Base I used is called Automotive art and I used house of color clear on top.

Your truck looks great!

Decided to change out the engine with one that will have a bit more power. Rolleized 355 with some edelbrock heads. Should be a decent amount of horsepower gain.

Haha yeah sometimes it goes like that. I was at Scott’s picking up some parts for my sons square body and it was sitting on the shelf not really for sale. I must have had hearts in my eyes so he sold it to me haha.

just curious, what size tires are you running, diameter wise? looking at 235/55r17 0n my '57, wondering how the highway speed rpm looks at 120kph.

If you go back to page 10 of my build you will see tire sizes. With the overdrive I'm probably around 22-2300 rpm. When I had the 3speed at 120 it was close to 3000 rpm.
