A/C switch/sensor help!!!!

Mounted on a line exiting condenser is a sensor or switch I can't identify. Looks like a cutoff switch. I'm missing the plug and wires to plug into it lol an the air compressor constantly cuts on/off. It is visible looking through the grille and towards the passenger side of condenser. What the heck is it?

Re: A/C switch/sensor help!!!!

Is the truck interior cold during a/c useage? Short cycling of ac compressor is usually a good indicator of the system being low on charge, provided that the short cycling is not caused by electrical/mechanical issues. A quick indicator of the system charge state is during use feel the accumulator (mounted on the firewall and the hose leaving it goes to the compressor) and feel the very bottom if possible and compare it to the top dome of the accumulator. If the top is warm and the bottom is cold you are low on charge!
