Finally New wheels & tires for Big Red

Ridler 645 in Chrome 18x8 up front & 18x9.5 in the rear. They used the back spacer that was already on there, but I don't know what it is. He said we could change it, so the tires can be tucked in a bit more in the rear.
Tires are Pirelli's 265/65/18 all around. Last photo is before.

Re: Finally New wheels & tires for Big Red

I like the new wheels a lot better but the old ones weren't bad.
I don't think I have seen the same size tire on staggered wheels with that much difference.

Is there any reason in particular you went with this setup and how does it drive and handle?

Btw your truck looks very nice and super clean, is it still tinted?

No particular reason, I pretty much left it up to the tire store to do what they thought was best. All I wanted was a smaller wheel, I hated those 20" wheels & low profile tires. It drives/feels so much smoother. It's like night & day on how it drives, almost like having a new truck.
They aligned the front end too. My Steering Wheel was off center, to the left. It's not 100% dead center, but darn close. So I'm happy about that. That's one of those OCD things that drive me insane, when the steering wheel is not centered.

No it is not tinted anymore. The tint was scratched up, so I took it off. I might go and have it put back on again someday.

I must agree on the big wheels with the rubber band tires. I don't know how some do it but to each their own.
I am getting old and like comfort.

I also checked out your detailing business pictures on your Facebook page and you are doing some very nice work and that's all the pluses and how the OCD pays off.

My brother wanted me to go with 20's again and even "bag" the truck. He is always showing my pics of trucks that have been bagged & with extremely large wheels. But he was pretty impressed with the way Big Red looked.

I was taught that from my parents, if you do something, don't half ass it. Some people cringe at my prices for an interior detail, but they gladly pay up when they see their car after we are finished with it. We spend at the least, 6hrs and sometimes 8, just doing the interior. We actually DO thoroughly clean & detail.

Definitely like the look better. I love seeing tires with sidewalls way better that the super low profile. It really makes the truck look super good.

There is a rule on the interweb that states that the mention of food is followed by a picture. Lol
