turbo 64

here is my project it is a 64 chevy c10. twin turbo, intercooled 355 sbc, 859b CSU carb, th400, 3500 stall converter. It is going to be the fastest c10 out there in these parts for sure. 800HP, pump gas on 15# of boost. if the truck holds the power it is going to be a fun SOB!

this motor was in a project I was trying to build and gave up on because I got tired of building EVERYTHING! There was nothing off the shelf that would fit. it was a 60 Studebaker Lark. here is the truck I am building now.

lmk what you think about it. Thanks for looking.

You probably need to consider a brake upgrade...

Re: turbo 64

Well, it has a sbc in it now. ( it came with the truck ) nothing special just a sbc with a quadrajet. I got the th400 w/ 3500 stall in it now and got it running ( well starting ) yesterday. I need to fig out the linkage to the quadrajet from the 64 gad pedal rod out of the firewall. is there another car/truck I can rob for the conversion?
I got the front bumper blasted and painted satin black ( got to add more coats before i wet sand it tho ), the front grill, headlight bezzels all painted flat white but like the bumper I got to add more paint before wet sanding so I dont sand threw.
The wiring was a NIGHTMARE!!!! the guy before me thought it was a good idea to put in bigger fuses and overload the system. in result he melted wires, then added his own switches ect ect. you get the point. You cant fix stupid I guess lol. well I got it all wired up and everything working well. interior is all flat white but I got a lot of touch up to do yet. I got to do the floors with sound deadener and put carpet in it ect. Dye the seat black and some other stuff yet.
They even hacked up the original dash ( drilled holes ) for switches for the things he shorted out. GOOD GOD! I got to fix where he tried to mount an aftermarket radio ect. but that stuff aint sh** to do it just takes a little time to get done.
Right now I am attempting to get it on the road with the mock up motor and make it safe to drive before the turbo's go in there.
I am going to install my B&M mega shifter on the low hump floor soon as soon as I fig out the other million little things I have come across. The rain is not helping me as far as painting things tho.i will add a lot more pix as I get further along with this truck. I plan on having one of the fastest 64 chevy stepside pump gas street trucks out there. it should go into the 9's with proper tuning.stay tuned...................................................
