Oil pressure gauge wiring

I am converting my 67 mech oil pressure gauge to an electric gauge. The gauge I have is from a 1980 square body. It has three studs on the back. One is ground, one is power and one is the feed from the sender.

Does anyone know which is which, or is it going to be trial and error? I am also using the volt gauge which seems to be wired the same as an auto meter gauge. Is the oil pressure similar?

Thank you

Ray

Re: Oil pressure gauge wiring

left -sender .right -12 volt. bottom ground. I just followed the circuit board and that,s what I came up with. This is looking at the gauge from the back side where the pins are.

Re: Oil pressure gauge wiring

Thank you.

One last question, do i need to isolate the pins from the metal backing? My volt gauge has a small piece between two pins that isolates it from the mount.

thanks again.

Re: Oil pressure gauge wiring

Not sure what you mean but I would isolate the pins from touching anything
