Great truck for someone out there. I would keep it just as it is. I would take your truck over a new one without any hesitation.

62 GMC pickup $6500. Not mine. Looks like a lot of truck for the money.

https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/...167547802.html

401 v-6, 5 speed, 10 hole Budd stock. Detroit locker lsd. Juice brakes. 33k miles original. 2" rope rail, 4" double roll bar, 5" falsy exhaust. Registered as "collector". Clean title. All trim in bed. Bring battery and gas to hear run. Designed to take Suburban top as topper shell. Inside of rear wheels tubbed with rear fenders resembling aircraft skirts split by bed ocer duallys. Re: Trucks Are Beautiful

So homely it's beautiful 1942 Autocar $500. Not mine. It is certainly neglected but it doesn't appear to have been abused.

https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/...167724801.html

This is a 1942 Auto Car Boom Truck with a hydrolic boom / lift. As far as wee know nothing is operational. Last time I posted this I got an overwhelming response as I had posted it in the free Section. After promising it to someone they flaked and our time. Now I'm listing it for $500 OBO. Please come take it away, if you really have the time and means to do something with this then $500 seems to be a fair price to pay for our time... then you can take the truck for free. Please call and leave a voice message with your info and I will get back to you, I will no longer respond to text message.

If it has a 4-53 screaming Jimmy, it must have a glove box full of earplugs.

The Detroit 4-53 Was only available in the Med duty trucks 1979-80. I know they also offered a JD Diesel but unknown YR. I think early 70s (74-75?)

If it sold for $650, someone got a great deal.

That would make a nice sized rollback. Nice job saving the pics.

That's a steal as far as I'm concerned. It appears to be in almost as good of shape as yours.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

Interesting truck but wrong info in the ad. It's either a '66 or '67 and has a V-6 Engine. Strange no Title. Shouldn't be too hard to research seeing it's an old Fire Truck with the town still painted on the door. That said, I wish it was closer, lol.

Picked this up awhile back in Ohio. 65 C60 dump. Weighs like 13000 pounds. At my nephews right now until I can get up there and part it out.
