Re: Finally my 49 s10 frame swap ls1/t56

Not sure which headers those are, but the drivers side looks like it doesn't have the kick out on the middle two cylinders to accommodate the steering connection. I had to use hedman headers for my 5.7l v8 in the S10 frame. Maybe mock up the engine and steering before bolting everything together permanently.

Correct got them off my 92 sierra that I took off since I had to smog the truck, think it will work but will have to use steering joints have 2 columns and both have steering shaft different sizes and one has multiple joints so hope it works

Got this from the add This is a new 16" S Blade Fan 12 volt high performance reversible electric cooling fan. Ideal for OEM or high performance applications.

Configured as a puller from the factory, it mounts on the inside and pulls the air through the radiator.

--They are manufactured to be durable and features an extreme duty 12 volt motor. Slim line high flow fan and moves 2500-2800 CFM of air.

--Approximate 10-13 amp draw.

haven't had much time to measure anything out but once I get motor mounted ill update with pictures and measurements you need

Good progress, and good looking project, You probably have the skills to build your own wiring harness. I used a Howell H242 TBI harness for my swap, 93 Caprice 5.7 4L60 into 72 Blazer ...Simple plug and play...I may have the ECM plugs from the Caprice if you are still needing them....Ed.

Yea that's what Im going for plug n play since the engine harness and body plugs match I can use that as an advantage. That would be great Ed let me know if you still have the ECM plugs and what it would take to get them to me.

Same side as the ECM, size more like 1.5x 2.5. also 10 pin white connector. Fuse box was on the other side of the car.

Re: Finally my 49 s10 frame swap ls1/t56

Had some time today to split the frame and cut 5” inches off to get the correct wheel base 117” used a strap to press the frame back together and hold it in place couldn’t find my wire wheel so didn’t clean it up but plan to wire it up tomorrow and double check my measurements and weld it up

Been there done that! Also be sure to take a straight edge to the bottom of the frame to make sure the frames level.
Looks good

Re: Finally my 49 s10 frame swap ls1/t56

So I went to pick n pull and got the harness plug all the harnesses there where all cut at fire wall so was easy to just get plugs I needed but now that I’m doing the transmission side of the plugs my 95 4l60e plug only has 11 cables and PCM pin out calling for 12 I’m using the 95 truck PCM I’ll post the picture see if anyone can help me since I tried the tech side found nothing on it and other forums first picture is my plug and 2 nd plug is what I’m guessing I should have I guess I can pin it in but if I don’t have to it would be easier
