Need Single peace drive shaft 80 c10 4 speed

As the title says i have an 80 c10 and it is currently a straight six with a two peace drive shaft with a farm truck 4 speed (low gear). i am planning on putting a 454 about 500hp and tq with a muncie m20 and i want to convert to a single peace drive shaft because i dont think the double can handle that much torque or am i wrong? The problem is that i cant seem to find any place that sells 80 c10 single peace drive shafts. So if anyone knows any places that sell them can you please post a link to there website or a phone number to get a hold of place that makes them. Thanks any help is good help !

A 2-piece driveline is STRONGER than a long 1-piece. If this is a LWB truck you have no choice but to run a 2-piece with a Muncie 4 speed, A 1-piece would be too long.

I'd imagine if you take a measurement of the length, and go to a good junk yard you might be able to find something that fits your requirements. It doesn't necessarly have to be out of another '80 c10.

If your dead set on a 1 piece drive shaft, there is probably a drive shaft shop in your area that can make you one.

Your swb truck should have a short enough shaft lenght, to handle a 1 pc unit.....wont happen on a lwb truck tho! To answer the ? you asked.....if you have a saginaw 3 or 4 spd trans (Id by a 7 bolt side cover...not top loader, with the long shift lever). The saginaw trans, is the same lenght, as an M-20/21 Muncie, & uses the same slip yolk. The next "fly in the ointment", will be engine placement( for /aft), when you go BB.... crazyL
