Nice build. What are you doing for a power plant.

Sweet build. Will be following closely. Make sure to take lots of pics.

His signature says 383 Stroker / 700r4. Not sure if he's got different plans.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the positive comments! Unfortunately, plans got in the way this weekend, so nothing moved forward on the truck. :/ But, I was able to pack my car with all 4 rims and 4 tires tonight to bring to the shop to get mounted and balanced. It was much harder than I thought, had to try 3 times before they all fit. I'm gonna need to find a bigger vehicle!

Thanks! I will definitely be taking lots of pics! I know threads are useless without them.

For a power plant I will be running a 383 Stroker with a 700r4. I bought it from a guy who had just rebuilt it, and hadn't installed it in his truck. He told me he had to bore it a little more when he rebuilt it so its technically a 388 now. I tore it down just to make sure everything was clean and it was, so that's good.

I want to run an EFI conversion kit on it, so I'm going to be looking into that. I'm thinking Holley or EZ EFI potentially. Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts on that? Experiences?

Thanks!

I got my tires mounted! They look amazing! I can't wait to see them on the frame! Here's how I had to bring them to get mounted, it was a tight squeeze!

Subscribed for sure.. I'm diggin the color too. I may do some sort of blue on my 68.

The wheels are incredible man. I think the wheels make the truck. It's like a woman in a nice dress with Converse hightops or something. .. it's just wrong. The wrong wheel just makes the whole truck look wrong. I think you nailed it.

Looks like a very well thought out plan. I hope one day I can build a truck with high-end parts like you.

Let's see, my son is 5 now, that means I have 11 years to get on it.

Thanks! I totally agree about the wheels. I wanted to make sure I knew what wheels I wanted before I built the truck, it's gotta flow with the theme of the build.

Thanks, I look forward to sharing my progress with all of you. Sounds like you got plenty of time to get started. My truck had been sitting for quite a while before now...

Re: 68 C10 Project FROSTBYTE Extreme Dropmember

UPDATE! I was able to get a bit of time this weekend and tonight to work on the front end, installing the Porterbuilt front dropmember. I was fortunate enough to receive the latest and greatest version of the dropmember, and it looks so clean. It looks great with my Michigan Metal Works control arms as well! All the parts were top notch and fit like a glove. I still haven't cut in the notches for the rack and pinion…which I was supposed to do first, but I don't have anything to cut it with quite yet.

I was also able to mock up my brakes pretty quick since they came all assembled on the spindle right from CPP. They look pretty great as well! I'm hoping in the next day or so to grab my front tires and throw them on to see how they look.
