Finished Painting Hood and Bed

-
Finally all of the big pieces are painted. I wet sanded the hood & bed with 2000 grit paper, and then went over them with a 3000 grit Trizact pad today. Gary will do the three step polish on them Saturday. These pics are before I sanded them. They looked good enough to bolt on to me, but Nooo, Gary has to polish them..... I will probably bring them home Sunday, and then the fun begins.... SHOWTIME!!..

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Thanks for the comments guys. I can't wait to get started putting it back together. I ordered all new trim for it, I hope the stuff fits OK.....
-------------------------------------------
67ChevyRedneck: <Want to trade my truck for this one?>

I will probably have to keep this one for a while. I'll have too much money in it to get rid of it...
-------------------------------------------
Andy4639: <I don't envy you though having to assembling it though, man I gritted my teeth the whole time hoping I didn't scratch nothing.>

I always seem to ding something up putting them back together but I am going to tape the edges of the parts before I start this time. It also makes it easier with two people, so I will have help with the bigger parts .
-------------------------------------------
68C15: <only 2 colors?! come on Leon, be a man and add 3 more. LOL>

I'll let you take care of the Ringling Bros. truck situation Todd.... You wouldn't have to win the lottery to buy this one, just sell the Honda. I'm sure you could come up with some special effects to make it worth a lot of money. (read- Corvette options)...

Yea defanently a 2 man job! Let the paint cure for a week or so and it want be as soft and will take a little abuse to. I remember the first paint of the 71 putting the radio back in it. Man I still have that scratch on the dash too!

Thanks for the kind replies fellas.

72BlckButy: <My only question.... is the frame ready to put these panels on????>

I have a couple of places to touch up but other than that the frame is done.

gcburdic: <Amazing job Leon....do you have a build thread going for this one??>

Sorry, I don't have a build thread on it. I'm just doing updates when I have time.
