Pictures promised about amusing ways to "repair" harness

I have seen lots of "creative repairs" over the years, but this takes the prize!

Rube Goldberg is still alive and fully functioning it appears

Hope you have as much of a chuckle out of this as I did.

Re: Pictures promised about amusing ways to "repair" harness

When all you have is a hammer all your problems look like nails.

On my 67 I have been frustrated to find all the wood screws in bad locations. Passenger side mirror, one fat one in the cowl cover, etc. I guess when you are on the farm all you have are wood screws and if you get a big enough one it will fit.

My intermediate harness had a dog knot of questionable repairs about two feet from the connector at the rear frame. I cut it all out and soldered/heat shrinked in the correct color wires. At some point I will replace but no need to right now.

That's funny. I have Flat blade type wood screws holding my camper style mirrors on but I don't want to take them out as they are period correct, HAHA! So I am thinking that when these trucks came out you really had to do some traveling to find the right stuff to fix or modify them. Parts stores had limited supplies if you had one in your town and you could not just go get a bolt from the Home Depot.
