Congrats on the baby! Don't build a pinewood derby truck...they look cool, but go too slow....ask me how I know.

Suggest to him that you make it a "daytona" truck, wedge the front like a door stop, it could look truck-like but it will be faster than a square front. Or, just give him what he wants and let him learn about aerodynamics.

Thanks! I think a slant nose truck would be decent. I can add the weight to the "bed" which is ideal anyway. We shall see. I think I may be more excited than he is.
