I have used the Noico from amazon, good product, great price. See my crew cab build thread, used it a few months ago.

I don’t like having or using asphalt based products on vehicles. Smells like roofing material. Removed the old product and installed second skin sound solutions damplifier pro. Great US made product.

54caddy,
How much sq ft did you use in the picture and how come you did not cover all of the metal and did you find a source that sells it cheaper ?

Re: black Car Sound Deadening Mat

I used the bulk pack. I used all but 1 sheet. Still need to do inside of doors. And full coverage is not necessary but I tried too. Inside of corners of cab are covered as well. Since tank was removed for audio system going in concentrated on back wall and floor as much as possible.

Re: black Car Sound Deadening Mat

Did the bulk pack have enough for your doors also ? what about higher up the fire wall , did you have enough for that or did that 22 sheets only cover what you showed in your picture ?

That looks like chunks of dry ice on your second skin. I don't get the technique,
why?

No need to order more to do inside of doors. Truck has no headliner so nothing was put their, and didn’t go higher up on firewall because customer didn’t want to see it past the carpet. It’s 22 sheets but the sheets are smaller in size than most companies sheet sizes. I actually preferred this size better.

54Cad,
I am also curious about the Dry Ice, does that cause the glue to harden and crack and release or does it cause the old product to shrink and release from the floor pan???

Laying it out like shown in pictures worked but best method was leaking it in bags and allowing it to stay in one spot. It allows the old product to harden and release. It was dry ice with alcohol. When I purchased the second skin I talked to them and they gave me these tips to remove old product. Once it was all off cleaned it with acetone then with denatured alcohol made the surface really clean and to ensure proper adhesion of the damplifier pro. A lot more info on this when i did it on InstaGram
