Re: Satin Or Flat Trucks.. Lets See Pics!

I really like the Hot Rod Flatz paints. Real easy to use. I would suggest that if you are going for an "usual" color (other than the normal black or grays) that you buy a quart from them to check the color. Even their chip chart isn't much help. I bought a gallon of Carnival Red, but can't use it because it looks lavender next to my Hot Rod red wheels. On it's own it is an awesome color . . . just not what I expected from the color chips.

Yeah, I figured the color 'chips' may not be the same in person vs. the monitor. I might just do the quart thing & shoot a test panel.

Is it close to this color? If not, I'm wanting to dulpicate this original color but in its 'current' state of aging. Any suggestions?
I would do the Champagne Gold Metallic

I took these pictures when my wife and I were vacationing in Tennesse. We spent the weekend with Tim Christian and family at a Memorial weekend car show just outside of Rogersville Tn. I don't know the owners of these trucks.....

The laid back hoods were on 67-68 trucks. I believe 70 was when they went vertical.
