Can you identify this mystery piece?

Have this on my 1971 C-10 there was a deluxe k on on it, like it was mounted in the bezel?

An aftermarket switch. Try pulling and pushing on the threaded part to turn it on and off.

That was the original flux capacitor control. It probably doesn't work anymore.

Seriously, though, look for any aftermarket electrical devices on your truck. Of course, given its age, whatever it went to might be long gone.
