Like I posted on your other thread, the code 557 is hard to find and is often overpainted. Of the Custom Two-Tones the trucks with the darker roofs and lighter bodies seem to outnumber the reverse like this. A good example is Already Gone's truck above, its a code 556.

Code 557 is a 507 Dark Olive Poly body with a 504 Medium Olive Poly roof in the "Custom Two-Tone" scheme.

Nope, SPID says 557.... Dark Olive!

It's funny how different some of the trucks in this thread look. For instance DANTIP's truck looks very different from 4x4GMC1972's. I realize the lighting is different but to my eye, 4x4GMC1972's truck looks like the correct shade of Dark Olive.

I'm picking up a 557 k/20 Saturday. Unfortunately it's been painted solid dark olive.

Re: Olive Green truck Picture's

Jocko and probably others have probably seen these but, it's gonna be a get it running reliably, fix the rust bit by bit, then get the interior to stock Cheyenne appearance followed by the 557 paint and the Cheyenne exterior moldings/trim. Gonna get a 4" lift and 35's. Somebody has already swapped a 14 bolt rear In it so it will get a locker. Plan to keep the sm 465 or swap for an nv4500 but keep the 205 kinda project haha! I want it to appear stock in most all ways with the exception of some small details.

Re: Olive Green truck Picture's

First picture posting on this site, thought this would be the right thread. Pic when I bought the truck a couple months ago, and a pic from this past Friday. Doors are in red primer now, but still need to shoot the doors green and get the trim back on.

Re: Olive Green truck Picture's

Unfortunately this is all the olive left on Black Betty, the PO painted her black and red...not very well I might add. Looks like she had a white roof as well. At least he left the glove box sheet! I'm working on minimizing the red.

Your 556 GMC looked very much like Already Gone's Highlander above.
