Headlights not coming on automatically

I have a `99 S10 Blazer and the headlights stopped coming on automatically all of a sudden. I haven`t used the e-brake in years and the lights will still come on manually. Also the in-dash sensor doesn`t appear to be hurt. Just wondering what could have happened. Would this feature be fused separately? Thanks

Re: Headlights not coming on automatically

The photoelectric diode in the dash light sensor is probably bad. It acts as a switch to turn on a relay which is wired in parallel with your manual light switch.

Thanks gmachinz. Whatever it was it has fixed itself for the time being. It is working right this morning.
