Re: How about some pics of custom stereos

Finally mounted the stereo using a marine stereo housing and bracket. Mounted the stereo to the dash just under the ash tray. Just needed to drill two holes for the bracket. I decided to do this rather than to cut out the dash where the OEM radio is mounted.

What do you honestly think? Stupid looking or ....

Ok. After trying out the original/stock set up for this stereo mount, I decided to cut back the bracket and flush mount it to the dash.

What do you think? Better?

And yes. The ash tray is accessible and functional, even with the stereo bracket mounted so close. There is about 1/4" spacing between the two items without any interference.
