Re: Medical marijuana

I just started taking CBD oil a week ago for pain. I'm using 2 drops in the morning and haven't noticed any less pain in my joints. I was told to keep trying it for 2 months and should notice less symptoms.

I’m using 2 drops every four hours. I don’t think I would even notice two drops per day. Some say you need a little THC as well

Re: Medical marijuana

I had the surgery and still in the hospital through this week. I feel like all those pictures of our trucks in 100 pieces. Anyway, going home with tracheotomy and tube into my stomach. Hopefully both will be removed eventually. Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts

Re: Medical marijuana

hey rob , i hope you are feeling some better. ill say a prayer for you sir. hang in there. i went through the fight about 8 years ago now. I was down for about 3 months. i was flat on my back when i wasn't going to or from treatment sessions. hang in there keep the faith and make it a goal to get back on the road. hit the online boards for people that have gone thru the same fight. they are a wealth of info on how to cope , how to make it easier, and what not to do.
i was not able to eat a much during that time. chicken soup really is a life saver. i had a lot of really good people praying for me, i'll be praying for you.
oh , as crazy as it sounds, when i couldn't eat much, i found it really interesting to watch the food channel. i know, i don't understand it. but it was true. i cant explain that but try it. if it helps you like it did me, it would be worth it. lol. later man.

Re: Medical marijuana

Not to jump the rail on this thread, but maybe look into Kratom as a pain reliever? Still legal in most of the US, and easily purchased online.

Using an untested uncontrolled drug as a substitute for prescription (Dr prescribed meds) sold online your just adding to ways to abuse rather than fix the problem , Your advocating unknown online available drug use instead of following the directions of a licensed DR. ? Just because somethings "still legal" doesn't mean it's a good idea ! Let me guess ,Have you tried this stuff and if so what are your expectations other than getting a buzz ?

Re: Medical marijuana

Sounds hypocritical to me GOM. Earlier you say if CBD oils work for the OP, go for it. Now you chastise someone advocating the use of another plant based medicine.

Re: Medical marijuana

I find the less time I spend listening to Doctors, the healthier I stay.

The meds they prescribed to me for my Tarsal Tunnel syndrome (very painful BTW) are probably more dangerous than the opioids the same docs were handing out like candy just a few years ago. I said "no thanks" to all of them.

And when the pain is great, a teaspoon of Kratom greatly reduces it, with no side effects. But thanks for assuming I use it to get high.

Weed is illegal in my location, so it is not an option. Too bad though. I guess it's narrow minds keeping it that way...

Did you watch (and believe) "Reefer Madness" until a Doctor finally admitted that weed was safe?

BTW - thanks for the ONE link on Kratom from the "Drug abuse facts" website. They also have a page on marijuana...

Here is a link to a Google search on Kratom - Where you can find more than one-sided info: KRATOM

I guess some people still don't understand the intimate (business) relationship between the pharmaceutical industry, AMA, and FDA.

Re: Medical marijuana

Been home about a week, so good to not have someone wake you up every hour to check your vitals. Trachea tube has been removed and now getting around the house without a walker. Biggest challenge right now is being able to swallow, then I can stop the stomach feed and start eating soups and drinking fluids. I crave a blue moon. . . .

Going to try firing up the old truck next week and drive it around the block.

Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts. Have a great weekend y’all

Re: Medical marijuana

I’m off all opioids, just using Tylenol and CBD drops. Got an infection which put me back in the hospital for four days. Now back home and very grateful.

I’m not allowed to drive so with neighbors help drove the old truck about a mile. I hadn’t driven it for a month but it started right up. I have a device which disconnects the battery when not in use, so I guess that’s why the battery still had a charge.

Have a great weekend and hold your loved ones close.

Rob

Re: Medical marijuana

This disease can be beat. Turmeric spice is also suppose to fight cancer aswell,I take capsules but fresh would probably be best.I don't have cancer but have friends that do.THC oil was used many yrs ago and I believe it works. My father inlaw has been using hemp seed oil for 3 months and his arthritis is almost gone in his hands.I used it on mosquito bites etc and it seems to kill the itch and swelling. I have read that cancer loves sugar so I would cut that out completely. The internet/youtube is full of natural healing advice.

In part this is absolutely true. It's all about your body PH levels. Taken from Cure Today 2015, "Cancer cells thrive in acidity (low pH), but not in alkalinity (high pH), so a diet high in alkaline foods like fruits and vegetables that also limits acidic foods, such as those from animal products, will raise blood pH levels and create an environment in the body that discourages cancer growth."

Not only will changing your diet discourage cancer growth, it can actually starve out and shrink active cancers. I wish the doctor had told my dad this. He was told eat whatever you want.
