Small tires

I am considering putting 205/75-15 tires on my 2wd blazer. Has anyone else had smaller tires on and how was the handling, braking, and mileage? These are HALF the weight of 31X10.5 presently on it 21lbs vs 43lbs and 235/75/15 are about 28.

Re: Small tires

I think that would be way too small. They would also be a lot shorter than what you have now. IMO, the 235/75's are a bit too skinny for these trucks. I would suggest a 255/70 or 275/60 on an 8" wheel.

Re: Small tires

the stock suburban tire was 235/75 I think. I had those before my 32" bfg's and they were fine.

Re: Small tires

I wouldn`t go below the 235s.I`m not much on undersized tires.Sur it looks crappy, but I`m thinking safety. Those few pounds are minor. The 10.50s are a heavier constructed LT-type tire, reguardless of size.

Re: Small tires

I had a 81 2wd blazer years ago that I had 255/70/r15 on and the looked good. It also handled great.
