Mowing season is fast approaching and I'm all for getting it done...faster!

I'd be in for a ride.....I used to race shifter carts..125cc Yamaha engine..0-60 in under 3sec..topend at 125mph...its a unreal feeling to be going that fast ,1in off the ground..

I wish I had that as a kid instead of the PITA dull blade push mower that I had to struggle with. I hated that thing. My dad never owned a power mower. And he wouldn't mow the lawn either. He made me and brothers do it. It sucked but he put the food on the table. We did what he said.

When I look back at it now. He was just teaching us to work hard. He was not a lazy man.

I had a 5 hp go cart when I was a kid . I don't think they even had shifter carts back then.

I would like to try one for a little bit.

I remember my grandparents had one of those engineless push mowers and an acre and a half to mow. Luckily I was too small to use it.
Were they called a rotary mower or something like that?

That would be a reel type push mower. I used them a lot in my younger days.

When I was young and immortal, I would have done it, and taken it as fast as it would go. Now that I'm old, and seeing the limits of my mortality, I'm happy to watch the on-board camera.

I called them a lot of things in my younger days. That's when I learned to cuss. We had Saint Augustine grass. Very thick.

Shifter carts were probably out west when I was a kid in the late 70’s or early 80’s but we didn’t know about them. My buddies and I sort of built one with a 250cc Honda engine on it. Stupid fast for the frame it was in.
