They are surprisingly light. I don't have a scale but I'll pick them up and try to estimate the weight...

I'd be surprised if the combo weighs much over 100 pounds...

I'm planning (some time down the road) on running my warn 8274 on the front of my CCSB with a custom bumper (I still need to finish building) and running this warn 9000 on the rear. I'm not sure how I'm going to mount the rear one, possibly by building a custom bumper our back.

The carpet was filthy, stinky, and full of dog hair

Re: My 1991 Crew Cab project

My son, Jason, was helping me pull out the carpet and backing. He was on the passenger side. He said "uh dad, there is a hole over here". I thought he was joking until I looked and saw this.

Looks like it had a leaky heater core at some point.

Re: My 1991 Crew Cab project

I got my carpets pressure washed and my new front seat in for a test fit before I finish mounting the stock sliders to it.

I'll have to do some grinding, patching, welding and painting before I can get the interior reassembled. I may even dye all the plastics black or grey too while I'm at it...

Re: My 1991 Crew Cab project

Good work! I don't think the rust is that bad, compared to some trucks on this site where the first 3 pages of the build thread is rust repair!

That's an odd place to rot through, can you tell what caused it? Nice score btw, and great start on the truck.

My guess is a leaky heater core, but I dunno. The passenger side padding was soaked. I hung it on some sawhorses in my garage and there was a solid stream of water running off of it.

Thanks!

BTW, Did you change your user name?

Re: My 1991 Crew Cab project

So I went out to look at my rust hole, I noticed some new moisture on the floor. It was sprinkling so I may have a leak around my windshield or cowl. I'll have to investigate further.

I also did some looking for my spare floor cut out from my burb, I guess I must have thrown it away. Apparently I also threw away a very nice dash pad. I'm pretty annoyed at myself...

Oh well, on to Today's progress,
I soaked all of my seat belts overnight in some orange cleaner and hot water. So today I pressure washed them, the belts look pretty amazing, but the plastics need some help. I think I will paint/dye them black. I'm thinking I will also paint/dye all the trim and the door panels black also and keep the blue carpet and blue door panel inserts for now.

I'll post a picture of my seat belts shortly...

I also spent some time pressure washing under the hood, it looks much better, I just need to get some engine cleaner to finish cleaning it up.

I'm not sure why uploading pictures is turning them sideways, apparently this forum doesn't like iPhones

Re: My 1991 Crew Cab project

So I didn't get much time to work on this this weekend and I was not feeling like working on it after work last week. All I managed to get done was to replace my front bumper lights, paint my t-case shifter trim, and pressure wash the engine bay for the 3rd time (under hood was filthy when I got it).
