Question Help Me Figure This Out

I replaced the front springs with new coil springs to lower front 2".
Then, I replaced the rear shackles that were to lower the rear end an equal amount.....
And this is where things went south. Now, my truck sits really funny----the passenger side is noticeably low---almost as if it had a flat tire, compared to the rest of the truck----I don't know if the spring on the driver's side is not seated, or what's going on, but it definitely isn't sitting even in the front.
I also haven't been able to get my head around the fact that the shackles that were supposed to bring the back down are actually longer than the ones I took out----can someone explain this?
Any help would be appreciated----thanks in advance!

Re: Help Me Figure This Out

We need pics...
Dumb question: are shackles above or below the frame mount? If above, then longer would make things lower...

Re: Help Me Figure This Out

The shackles are above the frame mounts----I basically put the new shackles where the old ones sat----no options as to flipping them over or any of that---the open end went over the spring, and the bushing end sat in the mount on the frame. I did have to notch part of the bed mount cross member to get the nut started, and the shackle end does sit pretty close to that cross member, but they're not touching.
As for the front, it seems that I might have heard a "pop" as I was backing down the drive, and am wondering if the new springs aren't seated properly at the top.
The truck drives fine---nothing's rubbing, but it looks weird sitting like this....

Thumbs up Re: Help Me Figure This Out

the shackles are supposed to be longer.

maybe one spring isnt seated in the pocket or is upside down. pop it back apart and see what you got going on
