and here is some pictures of my new (USED) door its got a few small rust holes the size of maby a match head but nothing likt the other DOOR lol oh and i got a fair amount of surface rust causing some pit-holes oh well not that bad here are some pictures

the door aint in that bad of shape for $75 bucks i had to remove the trim and the brackets ... if anyone needs them let me know i have all of it for a cheep price .....but hey leave me some feedback and let me know how im doing thanks

IMO, a good used door is the best first option. Repro sheetmetal will usually require a lot of work to make them fit right, especially the doors. I only buy used, but it is easy to find rust free metal around here (So Cal) for cheap.

well i got a lot more work done on the door today. i patched up the trim holes and fixed the small rust holes so we are good to go . i think i might take tomorrow off to do some fishing ..... FUN

honestly kid, i'm proud of ya. for a young guy or girl to want to do things themselves says alot about the kind of passion you have for these trucks.
when i was young i wanted everything "right now" and didn't have patience. The best advice i can give you is "slowly but surely" . This may not turn out to be a show stopper, but it is damm good experience.
A young guy turning wrenches and asking for advice would be welcome in any hot rod/classic truck crowd.
i'll be watching.

well today the fishing trip was a waste. i gess it was the wrong time of the day or something. but it just gave me a reason to come home and work on my passenger door. so now i got the trim holes welded up and smoothed out its looking better. i have the rust holes tookin care of as well. so i have had a very good day of working on it. maby tomorrow or the next day will go as well as today did. give me some advice or some tips on what i need to do plz it helps thanks allot ....

well the day with the family was ruined by the darn rain so i worked on the door some more i about got it ready to shoot some primer on it so all in all it still was a good day .......

wow so im sitting here i just got done finishing up my body work on my passenger door ... i got it all setup for some primer. so i started shooting it i got done and gess what destroyed my primer job... a fricken BUG walked all through it im pissed but what do i do.. so im gonna wet sand it maby something will work out .....

Wet sand it and spray another coat of primer and you will be fine. Nice work so far.
