There is a lady in the next town with one. I have already asked her to call me if she ever wants rid of it.

Re: 1967 small window STEPSIDE LONG BED

There is a guy who is less than 50 miles from me with one he is selling. Not that spendy either. I wish I had a need for it.

I thought there had to be some more of these around. I'm just starting one and starting to get the hang of this threads and pictures business. I have some pictures out but plan to let everyone in on the history and plans I have for the "little brown truck".

They only made 19,969 long steppers in 1967 compared to 165,973 long fleets.

Is there a thread here just for longsteppers? Someone should do that.

I will say that they take some getting used to looks wise with the longer step opening. But if your truck actually gets used as a truck the extra room is welcomed most times. Not to mention they are really a rare sight and I've had many people ask me about mine.

Agreed. However, I love that mine is a long bed. I've gotten so used to mine, that the short steppers look off to me. I do use it as a truck, too. Everything from pulling my 19' boat to hauling lumber, she gets the job done every time.

She has yet to pass a gas station she didn't like, but that's a different story.

Shortsteps have their place but why go through the trouble and time of tying things down when you can just close the t-gate. Guess I'm lazy.
