should have clarified..... I don't mean truck or Vette rallyes. Sorry 'bout that.

I'm talking about a basic spare tire looking wheel. absolute bare bones

Re: Is there such a wheel?? 15" x 8" steelies - 6 lug

Im at work right now so I really am not even supposed to be on the computer lol. If you do a search I have posted pics before. I sold this same set I have here to NONHOG. He didnt need them anymore so I bought them back from him recently, I didnt want him to be stuck with them. So you can also search the for sale area and search his name. There will be a pic posted there.

I know exactly what you are looking for. I have a set of em on a 71 K10. Not easy to come by.

If you havent found a pic by the time I get home Ill post one for you.

check with a local tire dealer they should be able to get them for you within a day or two and you dont have to pay shipping that way

When I first started looking for my first set of these. I went to every local tire shops and franchise style. No one could come up with a set. I finally got a set from PICKMUP, I forgot how he came up with em. The second set I got one wheel at a time...

What you need are what CG has. They were mostly used on 4wds.The military Blazers run them.Try sources for that GI surplus stuff.Alot of guys are buying those for trail rigs and going with larger wheels.

I think that wheel also came as the spare when you ordered the 15X8 ralleys. That's why you find them one at a time a lot of times.

Blazer1970 is right, they also came as the spare when you got rally wheels on the 2nd generation blazers. I see them once in a while as singles but it is hard to find a set of 4.

Re: Is there such a wheel?? 15" x 8" steelies - 6 lug

here's an interesting substitute if I were to bump up to 17 inchers.....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-IN...QQcmdZViewItem

07-08 FJ Cruiser rims, cheap and to the point. However, I'm pumped now to try and find GM steelies that are 8" wide. I think the FJ rims are 7" wide. ah to have one more inch, but I digress.......

Re: Is there such a wheel?? 15" x 8" steelies - 6 lug

Those are kina cool, the toyota logo would definitly need to go....somehow.

So what 6 lugs will fit our trucks?

I might be able to find some from the junk yard my buddy is cleaning up, HERE I just need to know which one's are interchangeable.

Re: Is there such a wheel?? 15" x 8" steelies - 6 lug

someone can chime in, but I wonder if these rims are hub centric? meaning they are centered off the axle hub. then you'd have to machine the wheel center out a bit??

then I wonder if the have a weird backspacing?? hmmmmmm.

as far as rims that fit our trucks, I've seen everything from newer GMC and Chevrolet trucks, Toyota Tundra and Tacomas, and Full size Nissans, however I believe you have to do some minor modifications and possibly use a spacer (since the backspacing is screwy).

BUT, it is interesting trying to come up with something fresh!
