Front Clip

What front clips are bolt on for a 75 K5? I'm having trouble finding original parts for 73-75 and thought maybe I could use a different/later model front clip?

Re: Front Clip

I think you can go up to 79? The hood and fenders shouldn't be a problem but if your trying to use a 73/74 grill, you need 73/74 grill supports (2 on the edges and one middle bracket).

Re: Front Clip

Thanks Andrew. I have an 80 core support and head lights now and was shopping around for used front clips. The 81 and up are much easier to find than the 80 and back. I'm replacing the sheet metal from the doors forward. I really like the 80 nose on my 75 and I'm going to stick with that. Patience has never been one of my virtues, I ordered all repop metal yesterday.

Re: Front Clip

Cool good luck. Hope it fits well. It’s amazing when I was a kid in the late 90s I would see literally hundreds of squarebody trucks at the wrecking yards and even in the last 5 years have seen it go from 20 trucks in a yard to 5 so the inventory is starting truly become “classic”
