Well the new house is finally finished and we have moved in. The workshop is 24' x 26'. I started by epoxy coating the floor and then moved all my stuff out of storage. It's a mess at the moment but I hope to have it functional in the next two months so I can start back on my project.

Looks like a REALLY nice project! Hopefully some day I will get to see it in person. I get over towards Columbus for meetings in Bloomington every month! So yeah, we are kind of neighbors!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I finally have my new shop organized and started making sparks for the first time today. It's good to be back in the shop and making progress after 11 months on the pause button. I've attached a picture of the shop as it sits today. I enjoy watching shop tours on YouTube so I figured I should at least post a picture of mine. I'm sure I'll make some more changes but for now I'm ready to start using it!

It's been a long time since my last post. So let's get you up to speed. I painted the inside of the door shells and the new door skins. Since I had easy access at that point I put Dynamat on the inside of skin and the lower part of the door shell. It made a big difference in the sound of the door when you strike it with your knuckle. I hope it helps when you shut the door as well. I purchased a Craig Hopkins "Door Skinning 101" DVD and followed the techniques he outlined. This worked out well and I would recommend the video if you are doing it for the first time. I have to do some more tweaking and final welding but I was happy with how things turned on both doors.

I also realized why I see a lot of trucks without the rear tire splash guards. The fit of the aftermarket panel is off by quite a bit. I had to redo and rework them but I was able to get them to fit. I would hate to add up how many hours I have in them for such a small detail but it does finish off that area of the truck.

I've got several updates to pass along. First I finished welding the door skins and drilled for for the rear view mirrors. I also cut the dash for the center AC vent and the two side vents. The ball in the side vent is a billet piece from Restomod Air.

I installed a clutch master cylinder from a board member and finished up the weld nuts and support strips for high hump tunnel.

I also came up with a Dodge Hellcat inspired fresh air inlet setup near the head lights. Duct work will connect these 4 inch tubes to the turbocharger compressor inlets.

I also mounted the intercoolers and was able to preserve the factory hood latch and grill support. The bottom grill surround needed just a little modification to clear and I made some pass through provisions for the cold side plumbing.

Santa also brought me 45,000 BTU garage heater which has been nice the past few weeks and an upgraded tool box. I went kinda nuts on organizing stuff.

Very nice. I'm jealous of the heater. This time of year I have the constant taste of keroscene in my mouth.
