Arm rest 'Capture' nut

I have a 1971 Stepper, and I finally got the interior door panels off. Unfortunately I had to sacrifice the Arm rest bolts. I do see that a well known vendor sells replacement bolts, but I also need the 'capture' nuts that fit into the door. Anyone know of a resource for these and what are the specs ?? like 3/8 x 16 etc ?????

If you have an "Automotive Fasteners" near you they have anything you need.

Re: Arm rest 'Capture' nut

I just finished replacing those arm rest capture nuts with the plastic license plate screw holders. They fit nice and snug, snap right in.

Re: Arm rest 'Capture' nut

I just replace them on my truck. My local h/w store did not carry any capture nuts, so I got them from McMaster-Carr. As mentioned already, they are 1/4-20 and I was able to get ones that are sized for the sheet metal thickness. The slots are beat up an rounded a little, but they fit well.
