Steering column swaps

My steering column is shot. All the bearings are gone. I can't find a 67-72 column around here and was wondering what other columns fit right in these trucks. Anyone know what other years would work?

Re: Steering column swaps

Check the parts board. I've seen a slew on there dirt cheap. Non tilt columns are pretty common.

Re: Steering column swaps

I've got a column out of a 71 with auto shift on the column that worked just fine, I went with a Flaming River Tilt. I would sell it for $60.00 plus the exact shipping.

Re: Steering column swaps

Therew are tons of post in thfaq section about putting in a van tilt. The main thing is you will have to collapse the intermidate shaft to make every tihng fit but there are post about prepping the tilt in the faq as well. Jim
