I drilled one out from underneith the dash then right through the front, it eventually came out. Unhook the wires first.

My GMC came without keys too.
I had shoved a small screw driver in mine and d!cked with it for a while. I was finally able to twist it counter clockwise enough for the allen wrench into the hole trick.

sometimes you can actually use a key out of some other older GM vehicle and the teeth are cut close enough ot the same that t wil work with the switch, have had it happen a few times, i saved all keys from all vehicvles ive scrapped over the years, they have saved my *ss a few times, had no key for the 68 panel when i got it and i found a key here in my collection that worked in it
my stapdad's ign switch accepts my brother's 92 S-10 door key, so,, you just never know,,

good luck

Some 40 years ago, while in high school, I acquired a full set of GM keys, believe they were ordered via mail order. There were about 85 keys, and one or more of them would open up any gm car. I passed them on to an undergrad when I graduated.

We thought we would do it the dright way and the lock smith pulled out a set for the 70 chevy 250 keys after about 45 min not one key worked. The next step is to clean out the lock and do it again. I told his to forget it I would drill it out. We drilled it out a little at a time with about a 3/8 drill when the key part turned with a screw driver we followed the proceedure with the paperclip an remove and changed it all out. Good luck Ed ke6bnl

I took out the door lock, took it to a lock smith, he got the code off it and made a key which worked for it. I took it home and started my truck. Total cost:$12.75

Woah, I forgot about the codes...if you remove the door lock (asuming it is the same like it should be) you can go to the dealer with it and they will cut you one for a couple bucks. I did this about 10 years ago with one of my Monzas.

If you have a locking glove box, the key number is on it.
