Blazer inside tire carrier

I initially posted this under the what it's worth section as I plan on selling it but that area doesn't get much traffic. This is actually square body but very close to the 69 to 72 style. If any of you see this post and can respond under The WIW section I would appreciate it

Thanks do you know if it was a square body one or the 69 and 72 style? I have looked on eBay and only saw 69 to 72 style that they were wanting to get $1,500 for and a square body one it was listed as 69-72 that sold for $750 complete. I sold one quite a few years back for $350.

Re: Blazer inside tire carrier

I had one for sale similar to yours with the 3 holes on each side of the floor mount. A guy at the swap meet said that it came out of a van and not a blazer (never could confirm). But mine did have the long vertical slot for the tire bolt instead of the two separate holes like yours. I would say they are still forth about $400-$600 depending on how bad someone wants it. (pic from internet for reference on bolt slot)

Re: Blazer inside tire carrier

I have been around a lot of vans and never seen that style in one. I suppose anything is possible. It looks like there's three different ones that are essentially the same then. One with the long slotted hole and four mounting holes, long slotted hole and six mounting holes, and two holes with six mounting holes.

To me yours looks identical at the bottom to the 72 style with the exception of having six mountain holes

Re: Blazer inside tire carrier

The one I saw at goodguys was to a square body, with two 3/8 holes, the one in my 72 blazer has a long slot. The slotted one go's for $400-$600 and square body style I found foe $150.00.

Re: Blazer inside tire carrier

I may be interested in trading my outside reat carrier for an inside one.

I haven’t looked at values.

Wink Re: Blazer inside tire carrier

You will have sticker shock. Like most Blazer specific parts from '69-'72, this crap must be made of gold.

Glad mine is mint..
