Talking Re: interesting ,, my 71 has 72 doors from factory

I modified my 1970 back in the early '90's for the 1972 door panels, window regs and latch controls, as I thought the earlier panels looked cheap. I found a pair of mint black 1972 panels in a local JY from a dark olive '72 CST. I will continue to use these during my current restoration, as with the 1972 accelerator pedal setup, as the 1970 rod system was meh..

Is this documented somewhere?

Normally changeover occurred in late August with the new models starting in September.

Additionally, (normally) the lead plants were the home plants in the SE Michigan area (ie, Pontiac or Flint) with the satellite plants launching after some of the initial problems were ironed out.

Since I have it handy I am posting the chart below which shows a few start/stop times for Pontiac nameplated vehicles.
