Pro Street anyone??
Hey, do you guys have any good pictures of 67-72 chevy pro street trucks? Does anyone have any good ideas on building these pro street trucks? I am wanting to backhalf my truck and have been trying to save up the money for a while now...just need some motivation to keep saving, I am really excited about doing this, because I don't see many out there and the ones I do see that are "tubbed" are just that, wheelwells cut out with few suspension modifications, basically they look like crap. I wanna do it right...if anybody has anything to share on this please let me know what's on your mind, I'm really excited about this!@!! thanks guys

I think upgrading it with zoomies and maybe run methanol so that it'll blow flames out the pipes would add that certain... "I don't know what" to it too. Especially in the aforementioned neighborhood... at 6am. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Have to have a fast truck to be in the next city before the cops show up. LOL

Awesome, can you tell me more about your project truck there, what kind of back half kit did you use, or is it a full frame? What company did you get the parts from? Was it difficult to build, or simple as following instructions and measuring properly? Any information is helpful...Thank you very much

Talk to a race car builder for a true pro-street truck.I started with a 3/4t Stepside,took it to a local race car builder who back 1/2`d it with a custom-built 4-link coilover suspension and a Mark Williams narrowed Dana60 to a shortbed wheelbase.I shortened the bed and installed a steel Fleetside floor with factory wheel houses.I left the frame work to the builder and just spec`d what I wanted.

heres my old one... had to sell if when fiance of 8yrs broke it off
 ...    15x14 rims w/ 10" bs 31x18.5x15 tires stock frame/suspension only problem i ran into was balancing the tires. the machines dont have a long enough arm.. could balance on a bubble balancer though... oh and you have to have smooth drums to fit inside the corvette style ralleys... had to modify a set of 6 bolt drums to work with mine.. Rear end is stock 68 width rearend - wheels are stock ralleys - split and opened up to 14.5" with 8.75" of negative offset
Tubs are widened and the bed floor is cut back flush with the frame rails You also have to build a keeper to pull the E brake cables away from the wheels as they will rub the edge of the wheel The rearend was rebuilt with Moser axles, eaton posi and 4.10 richmond gears Tires are 18.5 x 31 Hoosier prostreet radials Yes those are tail lights
