That 2nd article gives a little more info- "The truck has had four radiators, three gas tanks, five transmissions and six water pumps, but its 350 cubic-inch engine shows no signs of wear, he said. It has never been overhauled and still sports its original gaskets, valve covers and timing chain"

Crap my 90' silverado fought me hard just to reach 140k finally got so expensive to own I got rid of it, oh and it had zero power left.

i hear ya, i had a 89, and it only had 70 k when i traded it off, and it smoked like a freight train every time i cranked it up and the trans rattled when it was cold.
