WTB Seat Hinge Bolts

Does anyone have any of these bolts? They go into the Hinge for the seat tilt.

Re: WTB Seat Hinge Bolts

I have a K5 or 2 in local yards. Any other small seat hardware you could use/restore? Local yards dont care; anything I can stick in my pockets is yours for the cost of shipping. Much rather you have it than have it go to the crusher.

Yeah, any/all of those items that KrazyRay posted a pic of. How about seat tracks? Can you get those in your pockets, lol. Let me know what you can get, I will gladly pay you for the shipping.

What about ashtrays? Any of those trucks still have the ashtray insert. I restore them too.

Re: WTB Seat Hinge Bolts

I just pulled another set like the first. I plan on stuffing a flat rate padded envelope full of these parts soon.

I haven't forgotten about you. I just haven't had any extras that I'm not using yet. When I do, I will send some your way.

Re: WTB Seat Hinge Bolts

Here's a better photo of all the bolts and tilt hinges and where they are on the seat frame.
The last photo is just the bolt without the tilt hinges.

Re: WTB Seat Hinge Bolts

I did find a guy that has longer bolts. The ones that the top half of the seat rest on in the back position. He had several sets, but I only bought one set. JeeWizz, them bolts are pricey!! GM wants $30 a bolt!! But this guy had them for $18 a bolt, which is still a lot of $$$$ for a bolt. Thats why I only got a set instead of all of them.

So I'm pretty sure seat tracks wont fit in my pockets

I'm going on a run to some yards next Wednesday and I'll look for ash tray inserts, but I dont recall seeing any. As for the bolts, are they ONLY for the folding K5 bench seats, or do other bench seats have them?

I believe they are on any of the bench seats from Chevy GMC Pickups, Blazers and Jimmy's. Mostly the 80's. A lot of the 70's were non-tilt, just not sure of the exact years. But if the bench seat tilts, then they should have all the hardware shown in the photo.
You'll have to remove the hinge garnish, and to do that, the seat will have to be removed from the truck.

Here's a package of parts for $27 shipped. The bowtie will need a repaint!
Thanks,

Re: WTB Seat Hinge Bolts

There are some really good people on here and Ray is one of the best! Is it really that easy to turn a mon-tilt seat to a tilt seat? I have never really looked at them

Yeah Ray has been a godsend!!

Yeah, just take out the 2 bolts that hold the seat back stationary and put the collared bolts in. This allows the seat to tilt and then the upper hole needs a bolt for the seat to "stop or rest" on.

I just took apart an older style seat, 77-80, and it has different collared bolts & a stop bolt.

Nice! That is one of my favorite things about GM. They keep it simple!
