If you ever wanted to know the size of factory U-Nuts

Here you go. Spent WAY more time measuring than a person should, ("damn your eyes"......"too late"). Anyway, should be right and feel free to correct.

At some point this list will be a mile long. Get to inventory the parts (fun) before I have them phosphate coated or zinc plated. I just went through the U-Nuts to see if I can buy matching new.

THIS HAS BEEN UPDATED. Picture was gone, so added this instead.

thanks, I already saved it. I try to bag & tag everything & take pictures but when I go to put it together the picture never shows exactly what I need to see.

Yep, pictures only have some value. I prefer to put everything into words, which is tricky, because what you write today may be meaningless tomorrow.

These may be the most common #8. No sign of width or length but that should be OK, I think. I've asked the company to clarify how the "Center Hole To Edge" is measured, but I think it's right. Good company, just discovered them. https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/0162858

This MIGHT be close to the original J-Clip that mounts to the E-Brake on the firewall for the LH harness. I don't have the patience to match the way they measure this stuff, but for the price what the heck. It's nylon coated. The originals are rubber coated. Close enough. https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/0709204

I figure the thread cutting nuts for the Dash Pad are between these two or both, because the two studs on the outside appear larger than the other five. That said, I need 200 of these like a hole in the head, but for twice the costish you get 20x the pieces:

Marker lights I'm guessing. Looks similar if not identical. Their Center to Edge measure is approx. 7/10ths a millimeter shorter than my measurement, assuming I'm measuring right. Real close. I don't need them, the originals look great and they're easy to finish. https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/11120280

I wouldn't put that chart to bed just yet B.W. I found an error. Must have been measuring from the wrong side. The chart was updated. I'm going through what's available new. Any other f-ups (hopefully none) will be updated.

Sorry about that...........I've double checked it's good to go.

Here is the "U" nut size for the '72 only door stiffener screw below the wing window.(2 needed, one for each side) #10 screw, hole center 7/16" from outer edge. You can add it to the chart if you want.

Edit: The instrument cluster "U" nuts are exactly the same as the dash pad "U" nuts....

Oooooooooops, looks like I forgot the instrument cluster. I'll add the 72 door as well. Thank you............

Sure will be a lot easier to measure with the digital gauge pending receipt. Anyway, I've updated the chart with a few more U-Nuts. Can't think of any more. Thanks
